Seratonin Syndrome

Cause:

Serotonin syndrome means that too much neurotransmitter serotonin is in the brain or elsewhere in the body. The reason is that you have consumed too high doses of MDMA or mixed MDMA with other substances, such as antidepressants (specifically monoamine oxidase inhibitors, MAO inhibitors), or other substances that affect serotonin levels. A serotonin syndrome can be life-threatening.

 

Symptom:

Fever

Chills / tremors / tremors

Diarrhea

Nausea

Hypertension

Impaired motor movement

Cardiac arrhythmias

 

What do you do?

Call an ambulance immediately and inform them that the affected person has consumed these substances.
